Talbehat Town

Talbehat is a nagar panchayat town in Lalitpur District of Uttar Pradesh. This town has a lot of history inside it. The town situated on Jhansi-Lalitpur Highway NH-44, around 45 K.M. from district HQ Lalitpur and around 50 K.M. from Jhansi. Devgarh village is an archaeologically rich tourist destination in Lalitpur district; it is also about 75 km from Talbehat. Talabahat area has a population of about 1 lakh.

Talbehat is the gateway to District Lalitpur of Uttar Pradesh. Talbehat fort was built in 1618 by Bharat Shah. When Rani Lakshmi bai was struggling against Britishers, it was under the territory of Maharaja Mardan Singh. Maharaja Mardan Singh was religious brother of Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi and supported Rani Lakshmi Bai in freedom struggle of 1857.

Talbehat Town area is in Lalitpur district and located in between 2 major city of Uttar Pradesh Bundelkhand region Jhansi and Lalitpur, this area can easily be describe as most potential tourist center of attraction in terms of richness and diversity of tourist destination. Apart from beautiful heritage, verdant forests and mountain ranges that give the region its beautiful topography, this region is also blessed with a host of waterbodies that serve as lifelines for the surrounding regions.

In the auditorium of Nagar Panchayat Talbehat, Nagar Panchayat honored, Senior Advocate Shri Ramnarayan Pathak on being appointed as District Government Advocate (Revenue) and Shri Rajesh Dubey on being appointed as District Government Advocate (Criminal).
